Who am I?? Am I the sweet, innocent kid unconcerned with the complexities of life or am I a grown-up, mature and experienced cynic? A simple yet complex question to answer.
It takes years and years of searching and exploring to decipher who we are, what are our passions, believes and who we want to be. Experiences-physical or emotional, problems and how we deal with them go a long way in shaping a person. Notwithstanding these natural phenomena comes the added burden of living up to expectations, creating an image of invincibility and immunity. The constant judging eyes and pressure to build an image can be very taxing. The interesting and intriguing part is what role each aspect plays in the same.
In all this turmoil we forget to evaluate how we really are and how we view ourselves. Now is the time to break free of all image building exercises and speak out without any inhibitions. What defines you? How do you see yourself and the world around you? Come out and express yourself freely through the “What I See” project in whichever way you like be it through written texts, videos, tweets or graphics. Join in giving a voice to your unspoken words and of those around you.
The What I See Project is a global study of women and their perspectives. It endeavors to explore how women perceive/see themselves through their own lens. The project strives to explore and understand the different nuances that play a role in shaping an individual. There is no objective or campaign to be achieved, just a plain desire to understand people and their perceptions. It is an interactive platform for women to express themselves, reflect on their feelings and more importantly on life as a whole. It gives women the power/ability to explore and compare their views and reflections across age, location and other differing factors. To know more about the project write to hydnews@gmail.com
